Hanne Gredal completed her veterinary education at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) in 2000 and worked in small animal practice until 2006. In 2006, she returned to KVL, where she, in collaboration with ChesterGates Referral Hospital in England, conducted a PhD on stroke/apoplexy in dogs. After completing her PhD, she continued her research in the same field for several years.

In recent years, her research has particularly focused on non-infectious inflammatory CNS diseases (autoimmune meningitis and encephalitis), which constitute a significant patient group in the neurological clinic. However, her interests in clinical neurology are broad
