Jane ArmstrongWe have the great pleasure of presenting a renowned international ressource within small animal internal medicine, Professor Jane Armstrong, as a lecturer at the Masters programme. With her longstanding and extensive work in the field of companion animal internal medicine, Dr. Jane Armstrong has received a wide range of awards and honors, including being an invited member of the WSAVA Liver Standardization Group.

Dr. Jane Armstrong will participate in the teaching of the Internal Medicine modules at the compulsory part and specialisation track of the Master of Companion Animal Clinical Science.

Background

Dr. Jane Armstrong is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada. Following a year in private practice, she completed an internship at the University of Illinois, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a Master’s degree at Michigan State University.

Dr. Armstrong was a faculty member at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine for 7 years before moving to the University of Minnesota. She completed an MBA (Master in Business Administration) at the Carlson School of Management in 1999. She is now a Professor in the Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Armstrong holds board certification in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She is a recent past-President of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Small Animal) and the Comparative Gastroenterology Society, and is a member of the WSAVA Liver Standardization Group.
