Dr. Rachel Miller

BVSc CertVA Dip ECVIM-CA MRCVS

Veterinarian Rachel Miller (BVSc, Cert VA, DipECVIM-CA MRCVS) practice and teaches small animal internal medicine

Rachel graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2006.  Immediately after graduation, she completed a rotating internship at the Animal Health Trust (Newmarket, United Kingdom) before spending three years working in a busy first opinion small animal hospital in the UK.  She then moved to join the team at Dick White Referrals, initially as a resident in small animal medicine, and subsequently as a consultant in internal medicine for the following nine years.  Most recently, Rachel is enjoying her roles as a telemedicine consultant working at Vet Oracle Telemedicine and locum positions as a small animal consultant in a UK private referral hospital.

Rachel is fascinated by all areas of internal medicine.  She particularly enjoys the challenge of working up complex medical cases and using these cases to teach a problem orientated approach to case management.

Rachel has particular interests in the field of haematology, immune mediated disease and endocrinology with several publications in peer reviewed journals in the veterinary literature.   Rachel also greatly enjoys being involved in postgraduate education. She was previously a director of the internship program at Dick White Referrals and actively involved in resident teaching.  She is also currently a member of the Credentials examining committee in the European College of Internal Medicine.
