Dr. Peter Böttcher

DVM, DECVS

Dr. Peter Böttcher is Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery in Leipzig. He is a very experienced and skilled surgeon as well as a renowned international speaker.

His special interests are joint pathologies, arthroscopy and fluoroscopic gait analysis (www.fluokin.de).

Dr. Peter Böttcher will be participating in the teaching of the Orthopedic Surgery module in the Surgical specialisation track.

BACKGROUND

Since 2002 Dr. Böttcher has been staff surgeon at the Department of Small Animal Medicine at the University of Leipzig where he has been running the surgical service since 2007.

graduated 1996 in Munich. Following an internship and a residency in small animal surgery from 1998 to 2002 in Munich he became diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) in 2004.

Peter is a board member at the European Society of Veterinary Orthopaedics and Traumatology (ESVOT).
