Professor Karin Allenspach

We have the great pleasure of presenting Professor Karin Allenspach, as a lecturer at the Masters programme. 

Dr. Karin Allenspach will participate in the teaching of the Internal Medicine modules at the specialisation track of the Master of Companion Animal Clinical Science.

Background

Professor Karin Allenspach received her veterinary degree from the University of Zurich. She did an internship in small animal emergency medicine and critical care at Tufts University and a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded a PhD in veterinary immunology from the University of Bern, Switzerland, for her work on canine chronic enteropathies. She is a Board certified Internist and currently appointed as Professor in Translational Health and Small Animal Medicine at Iowa State University, USA. Her research interests are in comparative gastroenterology and clinical trials to improve veterinary as well as human health.
