Dr Rory Bell

Rory BellDr. Rory Bell is fascinated by all aspects of internal medicine, and particularly enjoy the complexities involving in the investigation of challenging internal medicine cases.

His research interests have particularly focused on novel applications of diagnostic tests, most recently largely involving acute phase proteins.This research has been published widely in peer-reviewed journals and he has had the opportunity to lecture to audiences around the world.

Rory will be teaching at the Internal Medicine specialisation track.

Background

Dr. Rory Bell graduated from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin in 1999 and following a year there as an intern in small animal medicine, he spent two years in first opinion small animal practice in London. He then moved to the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital, initially as a resident in small  animal medicine, and ultimately as senior lecturer in internal medicine and head of the small animal medicine service and residency programme. He joined the team at Dick White Referrals early in 2013.

Rory is also involved in postgraduate examinations within the UK and internationally. He is currently Chairperson on the internal medicine specialist group on the Executive Committee if the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
